||Here are important information regarding KLIA facilities and accommodations available for passengers/travellers/visitors. There are information such as parking lot details (FOR CARS AND MOTORCYCLES), parking charges, what type of chip coins used for payment, bus services, transit hotels, etc. Primary access to and from Kuala Lumpur to KLIA is via the North-South Central Link Expressway (ELITE). A second access is via the Eastern route which links the Nilai Interchange with the airport. Traveling by car from Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya takes approximately one hour, while from Shah Alam, it takes just 45 minutes. Other modes of public transportation to and from KLIA are KLIA Ekspres (ERL), KLIA Transit, stage buses, taxis and limousines. Please read on. There are two main car parks at KLIA and in total, there are 11,442 parking lots. The short-term car park (covered car park) comprises four seven-storey blocks (Block A, B, C and D), with 5,933 parking lots, 12 bus bays and 1,202 parking lots for motorcycles parking.
The short term car park (STCP) consists of 4 parking blocks - Block A, B, C and D - with a total of 6,208 parking bays for the public.
- Block A - currently closed to all users
- Block B and Block C - open for public parking
- Block D - for KLIA staff only and closed for public parking
There are 11 parking bays for physically challenged/disabled users at Level 2, Block B and also 7 parking bays at Level 2, Block C.
There are 253 parking bays for car rental operators at the Ground Floor of Block D.
The parking bays are all connected to the Main Terminal Building through 2 sky bridges.
- Level 2 Block B, and
- Level 2 Block C
For our customers' convenience, we provide 'Level Counting Indicator' at every level of the parking building. The 'Level Counting Indicator' will show the availability of parking lots at a particular level. Do take note of this indicator as it will assist you in locating available parking lots.
In addition, we have clear indication of each aisle for quick and easy identification of parking location. For example, C-2-6.
C - indicates Block Name (Block C)
2 - indicates Level (Level 2)
6 - indicates Aisle Number (Aisle Number 6)
For further convenience, different coloured chip coins are used for different parking blocks.
Blue Chip Coin - for parking building Block B
Yellow Chip Coin - for parking building Block C
PARKING CHARGES AT MAIN TERMINAL BUILDING (MTB)
The parking charges are as follows:-

The normal rate will be re-applied after the 24th hour of parking charge.
The parking charges must be paid at the various autopay stations available or at the Counter at each Level 2 at Block B and C. Parking charges can also be paid via credit cards and cash. Season pass holders may pay their monthly parking charges at the autopay stations.
The parking rates are inclusive of 5% service tax, as required by the Malaysian Government.
A Pay-On-Foot system has been put in place. Users should make their payment at either the Manual or Auto Pay Stations before collecting their vehicles. There are 2 Manual Pay Stations that are manned 24 hours (One at Level 2 of Block B, and One at Level 2 of Block C). A total of fifteen (15) Auto Pay Stations are available for the convenience of Car Park users. Seven (7) Auto Pay Stations are located at Level 2 of Block B and another eight (8) are located at Level 2 of Block C. Only Malaysian currency is accepted either at the Manual or Auto Pay Stations.
LOSS OF CHIP COIN
A RM50.00 penalty charge, together with the required parking charges, will be imposed for any loss or damage of the chip coin.
In addition, the Management also imposes clamping on any vehicle parked outside the allocated parking lots. A penalty of RM100.00 will be imposed to release the clamp.
The parking lots for motorcycles are located at the Ground Floor, Block A, STCP Building and the parking charge is RM1.00 per entry.
FACILITIES AT SHORT-TERM CAR PARK (COVERED CAR PARK)
- Parking bays for disabled visitors
There are eighteen (18) parking lots dedicated for disabled visitors at Short Term Car Park. Eleven (11) lots are located at Level 2 of Block B, and seven (7) at Level 2 of Block C. They are located close to the link-bridges that connect Car Park to the Main Terminal Building.
Trolley nests are located strategically at each level, at all blocks.
- Passenger Pick-up
This area is set apart and well signposted. It is located beyond the link-bridges on Level 2 of Block B and C. With this facility in place, passengers need not cart their luggage all the way to the vehicle which may be parked on another level.
- Access to Main Terminal Building (MTB)
This is via two link-bridges that are located on Level 2 of Blocks B and C. They take you to Station Mezzanine Level (Level 2) of Main Terminal Building which is between the Arrival (above) and Ground (below).
There are 20 lifts (16 service lifts and four emergency lifts) at covered car park. These will allow you access to all floors of the car park. They are large enough to accommodate trolleys and passengers.
There are eight (8) escalators at covered car park. Four escalators are at Block C Ground Floor to Level 2 of Block C, two at Level 5 of Block C to Roof Top of Block C, and 2 at Roof Top of Block B to Roof Top of Block B.
- Flight Information Display System (FIDS)
There are 44 FIDS monitors at short-term car park. Eight (8) FIDS monitors are located at Ground Floor of Block B, twelve (12) at Level 2 of Block B, twelve (12) at Ground Floor of Block C and twelve (12) at Level 2 of Block C. The FIDS will update you on domestic and international arrivals and departures.
- Rented Cars
Fourteen (14) major car rental companies operate at Ground Floor of Block D. There are 164 parking lots available for rental at RM300.00 monthly per lot according to requirement. There are 22 car rental booths made available for car rental companies. Most major car rental companies allow passengers to drop off their rented cars at Ground Floor of Block D.
VALET PARKING SERVICES
Whether your are travelling for business or pleasure, KLIA's valet parking service is the fastest and most convenient way to park your car at the airport. All you have to do is leave your car in one of the reserved spaces in front of the departure and hand in your key at the counter. When you return, your car will be ready for you.
Valet Parking Charges:
- RM15.00 for the first 2 hours (RM10.00 for valet service and RM5.00 for parking charges for the first 2 hours).
- The hourly parking charges from the third hour (3rd) onwards is RM5.00 per hour or part of thereon.
- The valet parking service counter is at the curbside, opposite Gate No. 7, Level 5, Main Terminal Building KLIA.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Area:
- The drop-off and pick-up area for the valet parking service is at the outer lane opposite Gate 6 onwards, Level 5, Main Terminal Building.

The services are run by Express Rail Link Snd. Bhd. which began its operations on 2002. The KLIA Express service shares the line with KLIA Transit, which stops at all stations along the line. Both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services are often referred to by Malaysians as the ERL, or Express Rail Link.
KLIA Ekspres offers a non-stop journey between KL Sentral and KLIA. The journey takes only 28 minutes. Special wheelchair seat compartments have been allocated for the disabled and secured containers are used to transport the check-in and check-out luggage.

Situated on the Ground Level of Block C, it has 12 bays for KL City Express and Stage buses. This air-conditioned bus station has other facilities like seating area, FIDS, a ticketing counter, café, washrooms and escalators between the Ground level and Level 2 of Block C.
